Jim,

Awesome pickups! I've seen many underwear boxes, but never one of those bags before.

Jeff,

Wow, Boston Store Cobb, eye dropping pickup!

I actually got the postcard on the right a while back, but just recently sent it for grading and got it back. I know that I am really pushing it on the variations, but if you look at Gehrig's elbow on the left border, they are slightly different on the two postcards. I know, I know, probably just a trivial change.

BTW, in the description for both postcards, it is stated that Ruth is holding a baseball that was used in a game from June 23, 1883, supposedly the oldest known baseball. Does anyone know if this baseball still exists?

Nice Gary. They are variations but probably just different photo croppings. Here is a 3rd type.... (not a new pick up)

AND a new pick up not posted in a new pickup thread yet. Lections...

Thanks, Leon. At first, I thought your card was the same as the second variation. However, after closely examining the "windows" in the background, you are right in that the photo cropping is slightly different in your card.

Does anyone know if this different photo cropping is common for real photo postcards? I had just never paid attention to this before, but I guess it may be due to how RPPC's are created.

April may be the cruelest month, but March has been okay.
