Lesson learned - USPS is a shell of it's former self. If you must use USPS, pay the difference and insist on Priority Mail or better.

For better or worse, postings about situations like this tend to take on a life of their own. Once you unleash the beast, it's going to do its thing for a while, at least until we get distracted by something else.

Octavio is a great guy, in no way at fault. I had the tracking number all along, but didn't realize it, clearly seen in the photo Octavio sent. See the Lessons learned above.
