W512 strip (hand cut) questions

So yes, authentic based on no black borders which would constitute a "full" card. Maybe $100 based on recent sales. Eye appeal a little lacking due to the poor registration of the red/magenta screen. You can see it peeking high on the interior border where it should stop.

But it is Hornsby so I think maybe a tad more. And sometimes a little misprinting can enhance the appeal a little, though I am not sure about that one.

Leon, that�s what I was thinking too! The vendor had it listed at $200, but the other vintage dealers at the show I checked with said that a raw in that condition should go for less. So I made him an offer and he accepted.

John, what about this card for authenticity? Are you talking about the solid black border along the very left edge of the card?

Yes, the black border on the left and right (and top or bottom depending on which row it's in) should be visible for the card to measure full.

I'm not an expert in strip card authenticity, but if you have it in hand you can compare the dot pattern under 10x or 20x magnification with your card to verify it's authentic. They don't print the same way anymore, even counterfeiters.
