1966 Topps cardstock variations

Definitely two different stocks. Just discovered it this morning and then found this thread. The white stock has much better eye appeal on the back. The other thing to mention is the 66 Topps card back is really nice. It would rate much higher on the list of best Topps vintage issues especially compared to the front.

You can see how white that Radatz is compared to the others. Same with the Swoboda. Definitely different card stock.

Baseball - The semi-high series has the most obvious white vs. cream stock difference on all the cards, with series 1 also pretty clear. The series between also have multiple stocks but they can be hard to tell apart. I have only built the semi-highs both ways because that one you can easily tell from a picture or scan when buying. I don't think the highs have multiple stocks, only 1.

Football - One series both ways.

Can't speak to the 1966's as I don't do that year, but I can assure you the 1968 FB has the two different stock colors. Drives me crazy, I much prefer the white back stock. NO, not doing two sets

But 68 football is so fun! I did a cream stock and a white stock set, still need like 5 cards for my white set. The white looks much better and I greatly prefer in every set as it really makes the text �pop� and be easier read. I think there actually at least 3 different stocks with the really light cream and the dark cream. And most all the cards can be found with a blue tint where a thin layer of blue ink is layered over pretty much the entire picture.

67 also has 2 stocks, though they are not easy to tell apart online (MB�s being a 3rd stock) and I don�t think anyone collects both. 65 and 70 might have 2 stocks as well. 60/61/62/63/64/69/71/72 I believe only have one stock.
