It might be possible to remove th cork carefully. I've just never tried.
The ones I have without cork were probably done by kids. If I was going to try I'd go slow, and maybe use a bit of heat to see if that helps the glue soften. |

You could try Goo Gone or another citrus-based adhesive solvent. I've used it to remove the very heavy glue and paper residue on the back of the '52 Wheaties tins and it worked great.

Not sure it would work but I would think steaming would remove.

Thank you guys! I ended up selling the lot to a friend for what I paid so someone else will have to try those methods. I really appreciate all of the help and if I get any similar ones I will definitely try these suggestions.
