Reputable is a bit of a loaded word.
I suppose in some ways we could just go straight to reputation, rather than something more substantial. So maybe there's room to debate reputation, with market for their slabs being a reasonable proxy for reputation? Sadly, even the most reputable graders are far from infallible. And with the sheer mountain of stuff that they grade every day, there ends up being a lot more mistakes than their reputations might suggest. And now that PSA and SGC are owned by the same larger umbrella company, I guess we can debate whether their reputations are really that divisible. Or whether they should be divisible.

Agree. SGC's grading has been brutally tough as of late. Still infinitely prefer them to PSA, as the aesthetics are so far superior it's ridiculous.

not enough people are talking about this. SGC's inferior / inconsistent grading has been very PSA-like for the last 10 months. Jeez, i wonder why. |

This is purely a matter of opinion. I know that many, like myself, think cards in PSA holders are much more aesthetically pleasing (at least when they are put in correctly sized holders). Like a piece of art hanging on a wall in a museum type look. I do agree that the cards against a black background "pop" more, but its their obnoxiously large/bulky slabs and giant number grade on the flips especially that detracts from the card inside. If that huge number grade on the flip werent so distracting, it may change my mind.
