Or send them to SGC first and bypass the raw card authenticator shallow gene pool.

My experience is that they reject graded cards of this genre as well.

How recent is this supposed to be? I sold 2 that went through just fine roughly 3 weeks back (and no troubles like this before that).

PSA maybe getting lazy with regards to exhibits. I went a 1922 exhibit of Stan Coveleski in to get a cross over. It was authentica altered per SGC, so I expected it would get the same grade from PSA.

Fast forward 4 MONTHS LATER I got an N9, do not grade and sent back to me. Effectively paying $45 for the card to fly from coast to coast.

I put in the instructions I just want it slabbed and understood it was authentic altered. I opened up with a case with their CRC, and 2 weeks later I have heard nothing. I would be interested to know if anyone has had any exhibits issues with PSA, besides the ebay authentication

Sometimes they think they are not baseball cards and reject them for being listed in the wrong category. Happens to graded as well.

Precisely. Just about anything that doesn’t resemble 1952 Topps or 1990 Donruss in terms of size and stats on the back is at risk of being bounced for “not being a baseball card”.

Even when previously graded by any of the major graders, including PSA and SGC.

It would take 5 seconds to check the PSA data base, but that might slow things down. Better to ruin a transaction.
