I think I have seen a Gehrig premium like that before but I am always at least very cautious on stamped items. If the one you have there, looked like that in a nice close up, I would have reservations about the stamp. Here is a close up pic of one I have (not Gehrig)....
I will go out on a limb and say that stadium has been figured out before. It's a classic pose.

You might have better luck posting the regular version without the ad. It shows the outfield and ads better.

I remember this came up about 5 years ago. Here is what member Doug Goodman said in that thread. 'It's not heaven, it's Iowa. I think the big clue is on the scoreboard, and I’ll bet the picture was taken at a college or minor league park in Iowa during one of the Yankees' many barnstorming tours in the '20s or early '30s. "The Peach" and tagline "Last Word in Sports" on the scoreboard probably refer to the Des Moines Register newspaper, which for many years printed it’s sports section on peach-colored paper. The Sunday edition was known as “The Big Peach.” Garner “Sec” Taylor was the Register’s sports editor for 51 years, from 1914-1965; and Des Moine’s Principal Park, formerly known as Sec Taylor Stadium, is the home of today’s Pacific Coast League Iowa Cubs. Babe and Lou did barnstorm Des Moines, Oct. 18, 1927 and Oct. 29, 1928" |

Thanks Leon and Phil! That nails it, close enough. As I said, I really think it's my favorite Lou Gehrig photo. Now I need to bite the bullet and get one!

The Chicago Evening American also had a Peach edition, so I wonder if this could be taken at Comiskey Park.
