Nothing particularly to write home about, as I still have a ways to go on all - but I'm trying to motivate myself, LOL. I do tend to get the "big cards" out of each set first also as motivation, so that's true in large part here and helps out tremendously at least in terms of thinking of future expense.
1956 Topps: 70/342, 20% complete. 1963 Topps: 135/576, 23% complete. 1972 Topps: 367/787, 46% complete. ![]() ![]()

I'm with you - get the big ones done and the rest don't look that bad. Just started looking at 1964, and Mantle and Rose are out of the way. When I get to '63, this method will be sorely tested because of that darn Rose... |

I finally held my nose and made the Rose happen a few weeks ago. Not the best timing since he's been in the news lately, but I needed it at some point sooner or later for the set. Now the biggest thing I have remaining for '63 Topps is the Stargell RC, and a boatload of commons. That should be very doable over time...

Hey just found this board so this is my first post. Been a collector for long time and well I cheated on 58-Present complete Topps sets bought since I picked back up the hobby in late 80s. I finally completed Bowman 53' color and B&W after lots of years of chasing and now I am working on 55' Bowman and 55' Topps.
I plan to go after 57' I own over 300+ assorted cards but I have been looking for a complete set, too $$ on ebay right now so hopefully one of the dealers that I buy from will find one for me. |
