Another question might be which number has the best players?

#21 has Clemente, Spahn, Clemens, Arkey Vaughn, Greinke (with the Dodgers D-Backs, Astros), Sammy Sosa, Jeff Kent, Paul O'Neill

#24 has Mays, Bonds (w/ Pirates), Rickey Henderson, Ken Griffey Jr., Manny Ramirez, Dwight Evans, Tony Perez

#44 has Aaron, Reggie Jackson, McCovey, Goldschmidt

Looks like Roberto Alomar and Jeff Kent both wore 12. Currently, Francisco Lindor does.
