It's not a production piece but whether or not it's something created by a Topps employee having some fun has yet to be established.

"Mickey lead the A.L...."

Two questions:
  1. Was there an N.L. hitter with more?
  2. Wouldn't "Mickey led the A.L." make more sense?

Maybe the guy writing the copy was also in a bad state after a night of drinking??

On a side note, I don't think I've ever seen the word the shortened to th' before.
It's only a three fricking letter word!!!!
