Fish,
I played around with the tool a bit, and there's some really cool features there, congratulations and great idea. I know as a set collector, when I look for upgrades, I typically look for anything by brand, year, grading company, and grade. Once the population is refined to that point, I start to review from there. Using the tool it appears that the sort functionality always requires a specific search criterion inclusive of Player. I understand needing to limit the search to some extent, but is it possible to sort agnostic of player? Thanks, JS |

Hey! Sorry for the delayed response here. Haven't logged on to Net54 in a while. I have continued to develop this site since this post earlier in the year, and have had others express interest in this type of search format. However, because the site actively pulls data from current eBay listings, a search of that magnitude is not feasible and would take more time to compile the current active listings than anyone would want to wait. For best results, search for a particular player in a particular set in a particular year. Results are usually returned within 2 seconds and the validity of the potential deal has greatly improved since this post back in June. It is still a great tool for a set builder who knows which player and card number they need to continuing to build their set. |

Hey Guys,
It has been a while since I have logged onto Net54, but wanted to provide an update on this post: I have officially partnered with an outside source for increasingly accurate vintage card recent sales data that is used to much more accurately pull potentially underpriced cards from eBay's active listings. This price is calculated by taking an average of the most recent 90 days of sales data from a particular card in a particular grade. This sales data is gathered from places like eBay, Goldin, Heritage, etc and is used to compare to the current active listings on eBay. Any listings that are priced below the average, come through as a potential deal. Also, another huge update is my plan to keep this site completely free to use for all vintage collectors. I want this site to be a valuable tool collectors and dealers alike can use to make/save money when purchasing vintage cards. However, in order to keep this site completely free I need to expand the user base and have many users purchasing cards from the tool since the only source of revenue to offset the site upkeep costs is the affiliate revenue from eBay that is generated when a sale occurs from using the tool. I would love for you guys to try the tool out and let me know your thoughts! I have spent nearly a year building this out completely on my own, so your usage and feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fisher Founder of Fish's Vintage Card Deals |
