Picked this up. Any idea who made them?

The font looks like the 1961 Manny’s Baseball Land. Take a look at those.

I've had this lot of cards in my images folder for a long time, happy it popped up on eBay and I snagged it.
The Coburn is a blank back, and missing blue (though it does have the blue of another item printed on it). Blue is the ink layer they had issues with on this card, with very early F649 runs having the removed man printed in blue. Coburn seems to constitute the majority of T220 scrap out there, possibly because he is one of the 2 cards with an edited image. There's a very-early run blue man Coburn with an upside down Gans back and a T220 Silver blank back without his name caption. Not much else in this bucket of incomplete/scrap/proof T220 cards that isn't a Coburn. Love these kinds of cards I can add to my 'complete' sets so I don't have to stop collecting my favorites |

Hi Everyone
New member and first post. I just recently got into vintage boxing cards and I am doing a ton of research trying to educate myself on the different sets/backs etc. I've picked up a few cards, but a 1910 T218 Side View Jack Johnson PSA 5 was the first one I grabbed. I tried to attach it, but I can't figure out the compression haha. Any advice you veteran collectors can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am in the middle of Adam's book which has been a tremedous resource. Bernard |

Is there a fighter, era, category, set, etc., that interests you? That's where I started, with Jewish fighters.

In terms of fighters/specific sets - I think right now I am really just focused on cards that appeal to me - colour, design etc. I'm not a huge fan like everyone else of 48 Leaf, but eventually I'd like to grab some of the main boxers in that set. I really like 51 Ringside, but I'm starting with pre-war for now. That said, I do find myself doing searches specifically for Stanley Ketchel as well as the same guys most of us do - Langford, Johnson, Jackson, Gans, Dempsey, Sullivan...I've just been priced out recently for a lot of them. |
