As an aside...John Taube is a savant when it comes to bats. Ive owned many game used bats over the years (currently only own one), and I would never touch a bat unless it had a full PSA/DNA Taube letter. Many of the ones I've owned, I acquired directly from him. Great guy.

The signature on the 1/3 modern example is just terrible, and understand why @ruth-gehrig would show it for examples. All the reason to send in your example of the cut, looks half way decent enough. First have someone look at it under a loop for you in person if you have it in hand, please - sometimes if you know someone at JSA or PSA - they can help out as well or an auction house.
