Told him this way a reprint. His response. "The card has been in the family for 70 plus years along with 2000-3000 other cards I have sold out it. More than positive this would not have been reprinted in the 1950’s" I didn't state anything about a 1950's reprint. Hiccup. |

Don't be so sure, Brian. CJs are universally known for their thick, chunky card stock.

And the conversation has continued with an eBay offer as well.
My statement: "So, purple grass on a card you have had in the family for over 70 years." His response: "It’s called a stain very clearly can see that." My response: "A stain that covers every part of the grass in purple and nothing else in purple." Now, for the offer in my messages: " eBay Special limited-time 21% discount on 1915 Cracker Jack #50 John Hummel Nation." Gentlemen, I may be away from the computer for a while battling a strong case of hiccups. |

Ignoring all the color issues that scream reprint, it's a 1915 back that isn't upside down, which isn't possible.

Did you pull the trigger on the special offer?

I won't bet $100 on this one. My check to the CJ Kid AKA Toe Moss mailed last week.

Second place. The rare 1914 Cracker Jack with the "176 subjects" on the back. I have not contacted this guy. I've had my hiccups quotient for the day.

Well...this seller has lots of wrestling toys and video games. I can't imagine that doesn't translate to specialized expertise in purple-grass, wrong-back, original, 100% genuine Cracker Jack cards.

You sort of know when the description is "fast shipping" that something might be amiss...
