Thanks REG For reviving my dead thread 🙂
Don’t know much about Weldon Mills other than it supports a good cause and it’s a good looking bottle. This year’s been real good for me I’m very lucky to have a terrific connection - Picked up JD 12 and Penelope for 128 and the bomberger was 168 - sounds high but those are actually good prices - had to trade the Heaven Hill after reading some odd reviews .
Note: I do not collect uniforms that’s my dads from the late 40s, One day I’ll post some pics and hopefully get some feedback from the uniform guys

Keep it going, Bourbon in something other than bottles. This was my Dad's we were both Volunteer Firemen in our town and he collected Fire Engine's. I bought him this one I have another one of his still sealed.

That’s pretty damn cool - I have enough trouble pouring From a regular bottle drinking that looks like it would be an adventure

I'm curious what you mean by odd reviews. I am mostly a beer guy, but I do like to sip bourbon occasionally. I am by no means a connoisseur, but I really do like the Heaven Hill 7 year.
My wife and I are looking to retire in 5 years and move back to Ohio. She is from Mansfield and wants to move back there. It is a dying industrial town and I'd rather live closer to Cleveland. But, Mansfield does have one thing going for it: The Phoenix Brewing Company which is a microbrewery that produces some very good beers. But, to bring myself back on topic, upstairs from the brewpub is The Spirit Room, which has a nice selection of whiskeys that you can sample by the shot. It is run by a husband-and-wife team that were high school classmates of my wife, and they were the ones that turned me on to Heaven Hill (and Angel's Envy.)

“Odd” as in not overly positive for heaven hill product with a $300 MSRP - The heaven hill Bottled in bond seven year is a terrific bottle .
