According to his confession vintage player signatures were not what he was forging. He focused on Current / Modern players. He mentions Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes and I think Aaron Judge. But he did Mention that he had Steiner Tristar and Fanatics Holograms reproduced in China and he would use numbers for say a Signed Jersey or a Baseball to produce those same items just fake and in large quantities. And all three of those holograms are on some vintage items but not many.
I would hope that the law enforcement folks who raided hos warehouse documented his stash of items and that they use that information to help collectors avoid known fakes. But that is mostly hope. But most collectors know that Tristar for instance has a set price for a Tom Brady signed Jersey. There is some room for dealers to knock a couple of bucks off for Friends and Family. But if you have been buying modern player Signed Jerseys for say 50% of retail despite waiting lists or sold out listing on line. Then you are probably worrying right now. If you bought a PSA case with a Perez steele of Mantle recently, probably sleeping pretty well.

Thanks for the info. That’s good to know that signed Perez steeles are pretty much safe from the shit show this idiot created.

Also, would you guys recommend that I stay away from JSA authentication stickers and only focus on PSA authentication stickers for my signed Perez steeles?

I have long gotten the sense that you are perpetually queasy about collecting autographs. You have voiced your concerns numerous times about the reliability of the TPAs and seem mired in worry. Therefore, I think you should focus on studying all the autographs yourself so that you will be hopefully be able to discern authentic examples from forgeries as opposed to worrying about what sticker is on them. I understand that this is easier for some people than others. It takes a lot of time, but you have been collecting quite some time.

If you find you're lacking confidence in self authentication and are constantly worrying about the opinions of the authenticators, then it's time to throw in the towel. There is no upside for you. I rarely advise people to leave the hobby, but you sound like a prime candidate to do so. Hobbies are primarily intended as relievers of stress, not constant inducers of it. Autograph collecting isn't for everyone.
