Is it possible/conceivable that those cards might be trimmed slightly? Do you have back scans of those cards?

Sadly, no. This is it.

Just did some quick measurements.
the standard 2.5 x 3.5 card size gives a .714 ratio. I measure the image of the Bunker and came away with a .710 ration. The Giants rookie stars has a .70 ratio. So, based on this extremely unscientific process, they would seem to be almost the exact correct size. |

Ok. So those are close in size and probably are correct. And they certainy look like top edge cards.
However, a top row card in a 77 card series has always been at least a 4x quantity card. Neither of these cards appears to be in that category. We also have Aaron and Gonzalez as top row cards (and headers). The pix shown below support that those cards are definitely top row cards (and they are both 4x quantity). So, if the Bunker and Giants RS cards are top row, they would have to be moved and placed in one of those two rows and would require quantities supporting them to be 4x. How could that be resolved? My suspicion (guess??) is that they were both trimmed slightly (doubtful, too nice of a cut) or were cut by the factory at minimum size because they certainly do look like top row cards. I completely understand that these two card images definitely pose a conundrum which needs to be resolved before we can definitively say the series 6 reconstruction. 1966_500 (2).jpg 1966_478_gonzalez_top.jpg |

Yes - definitely both are 3x.
Well we will know for sure when a full series sheet shows up for auction, right? |
