It’s taken 14 years of obsessively researching and collecting 1989 Fleer Marlboro errors, a trip to Kentucky, a delayed meet up, a missed flight and some scrambling to make arrangements to get back home, but I have finally had the chance to add a Clear variation to the collection!

Has anyone bought anything or found anything rare lately? I have bought a few from bad pics cheap hoping to find something rare but no luck lately.

A 6th copy of a clear version popped up on Facebook a couple weeks ago. It sounds like the person is going to grade it and possibly sell it.

That is awesome. I wonder how many are out there? It has seriously amazed me how many new Randy Johnson versions and rare versions have hit the market in the last few years. Around 10-15 years ago I majorly hoarded all Marlboro and box versions. I bought Marlboro lots as big as 300 cards and never seen a single blue version until the last few years.

Hello all - I am getting ready to sell off a 1989 Fleer set with several Randy Johnsons and was just wondering if I could get any advice on pricing - while I want to ensure I don't undercut myself, I also have no interest in holding out for maximum $$. I have the corrected version, the one with the black matte with the little cutout, a red tint version and something that looks like the green tint version. None are graded.

Looking at eBay doesn't help - even completed listings. Most are graded, and even when not, there seems to be no end of confusion as to which variation is being offered, etc.

So does anyone have any idea what a decent asking price for my assortment of #381s might be? Please PM me if this isn't the place to discuss this.
