Nice autograph Frank.
In 2001, when Gus Suhr was 95, he was signing autographs at Piratefest at the science center on the north side of Pittsburgh. Where I have put the 8x10 with his autograph I do not know, but it was a pleasure meeting him and his son who looked exactly like him. Also, to the left was the original Frank Thomas who about a week later gave me a call. Fantastic experience and I took with me my 1923-25 ZeeNuts of Paul Waner and 1925-26 ZeeNuts of Lloyd Waner to discuss Suhr's memories of his minor league and Pirate teammates. Attached is my favorite picture of Suhr. Hot day. Last edited by Brian Van Horn; 09-08-2025 at 05:29 PM. |
