A couple reasons I guess. I like collecting rookie cards just in general, so it never really bothered me that a few guys had the wrong jersey on. If Fergie Jenkins is a big deal to Cubs collectors, then his rookie card should be also. Since I don't limit myself to one card per player, I can have the first Cubs cards of those guys also.

Second, the PSA set registry for the Cubs Hall of Fame is for their rookie cards, not first Cubs cards. And I'm competitive and want to win.

I've had the thought several times that I should put together a collection of cards with photos clearly showing Wrigley Field over the years. Haven't done it yet though. Would be cool to flip through in a binder.

Wrigley always makes a great backdrop. You see the ivy and bricks a lot. One of the few that show the marquee:

As someone who doesn't collect oversized items as part of my main Cubs collection, I wish the 1969 Fleer Stadium Patches were small enough to represent Wrigley Field in my collection.

I went with a more modern representation, a 1989 Score "Highlight" card of Wrigley getting lights. It's historically neat and was a significant thing to happen to the park when I was a young teen.

One thing I like about this site is finding new, to me, information about Cubs items. I am a long time Cub collector who, around 2002, started concentrating on vintage Cubs. I saw this post about the 1969 Fleer Stadium patches. I looked on eBay and see what are called Stadium Cards. One item says they were inserted in patches. Am I to presume there was a, i.e., Cubs patch and these were inserted in with Stadium cards? I guess I need to do more research as I have the 69 3-D Plaque but had never heard of these Stadium patches. Thanks.
