As to something that we know exists, the Goudey Lajoie.
The mention of that card in the other thread got me to thinking of how important someone can be at one point, then later almost forgotten. You won't encounter too many people in everyday life who have heard of Lajoie, yet they renamed the team in his honor while he was still a part of it.
