Default Shopify Experiences

Anybody have any experience building an On-line store through Shopify?

Particularly interested if anybody knows of any sports collectibles dealers who have a lot of inventory that use it. Would like to see how intuitive the category trees and site wide search engines are.

Also, anybody have any experience using their website builder, and how easy is the builder to use?

After 20+ years using the same web host for both of my websites, I'm starting to think it's time to start moving on. They've been through several ownership changes and this last one is really doing me in.

One of my shopping carts has been rendered inoperable, after I tried to diagnose a glitch I discovered, and the other one is limping along, only because I didn't go as far with my trouble shooting on that one, as I did on the one that got mangled.

No help from the web host, who can't even figure out how to re-integrate a Paypal business account into the cart properly. Used to be a simple click and go, and now it's just broken.

It's daunting and I don't want to do it, because it's thousands, maybe 10's of thousands of items that would have to get painstakingly cut and pasted from one platform to another...but the sunk cost fallacy is starting to rear it's ugly head for me.

Mostly lower cost stuff, but you can't sell what you can't see online or through a search engine.
