Seeking opinions/advice

I've always enjoyed storing complete sets in binders. Slowly but surely, I am putting together vintage Topps baseball sets. I started with 1980 and began working my way backwards.

1980 is done, as are '79, '78, and '77. I'm currently chipping away at '76.

For now, I'm fine with using D-ring binders and Ultra Pro 9-pocket pages. At some point, though, I want to consider using something better...if possible.

What binders/pages would you use for a higher value ("72 Topps, for instance) complete set?

I moved most of mine out of binders a few years ago.
a couple sets are still in binders, and may stay that way. The 74 is in an old view binder, but has the sports illustrated form Aarons 715th slid inside the cover. And the 75 OPC partial set I just never finished removing. A few small sets are still in a binder too.

Oddly, I'm thinking of making some book type binders /holders for a few of my better cards.

Probably not what you are looking for, but currently around 3/4 each on a 69 70 and 71 sets. Each are in card savers. Very bulky really, but very much protected also.

Compared to card savers, I prefer top loaders with penny sleeves. Same basic idea, though...very bulky.

I keep my vintage sets in binders, but only use Ultra Pro Platinum sheets. I store my binders flat so there is little danger of sheets sagging and damaging cards. I have used penny sleeves and toploaders in the past and really like the protection, but they are super bulky and I found myself rarely looking at the cards.
