Had been looking for a nicely centered 2-3 and came across this one on the 'bay. Was happy to bring it home.

Picked this up this summer. Might drop it off for grading when the National is in town. Creased but presents nicely.

Default 1962 Topps Stamp

I got this 1962 Topps Stamp Mickey Mantle yesterday at a LCS. It was one of a group of 22 stamps that included some other HOFers such as Ernie Banks, Early Wynn (x2), Eddie Mathews, Whitey Ford, Nellie Fox, and Hoyt Wilhelm.

Price for the group of 22 1962 Topps Stamps? $1

So, yes a 1962 Topps Stamp Mantle for 5 cents!

Default Mickey Mantle Bottle Caps

I bought these two at the flea market. I can't recall ever seeing Diet Rite baseball crowns before.

Nice bottle caps Walt. Especially the diet Rite Cola. Not sure if I ever saw one of those before.

Love seeing all the Mantle stuff especially all the things I didn't know existed such as the bottle caps.

Just arrived today. Had an ashtray I sold about 15 years ago and haven't seen many since. Glad to replace it and picked up a bar of soap I've never had

I have never seen that card before. Just looks like a business card with the Mick on it.

Default These were available to be seen and purchased at the National

In fact, they are still available!

Note: The rectangular cut 53 Stahl Meyer was NOT trimmed, it was cut from a sheet and aside from being sheet cut, it is clean as a whistle.

Default 1964 Rawlings Big 8 Glove Box HC PSA 3 Mantle

I have the complete set for 1964 Rawlings Big 8 Glove Box Hand Cut (HC) single card. Mickey Mantle included as PSA 3. I enjoy this set and will keep the set but would be happy to trade my PSA 3 Mantle for a PSA Auth or PSA1 plus $2,000. Certainly this is not cheap but look at recent sales and just how rare this card is in decent condition. Happy to keep but someone suggested I reach out to Mantle Collectors. If someone had a 1964 Rawlings Big 8 Glove Box Panel featuring Brooks I would happily trade my HC single card and pay them cash for difference. Call 301-331-1290 or Charles.strite@yahoo.com if interested.

I am not selling this card nor trading unless conditions met above. Thanks!!!

What would be a fair offer on a 1952 topps mantle error card? Any estimates??

Has his stats on the back but a wrong front. I would think something like this would be more valuable if it had the wrong back instead of the wrong front but still pretty cool.

Saw this on the last day of auction and thought was pretty cool because of the newspaper article.
Mantle, 17 years old, and his Whiz Kids played against Parsons where I'm originally from. June 2 1949 and might be my earliest Mantle piece.

From collection of Steven Lane who looks to have written a pretty good Mantle book entitled "Mickey Mantle A Life in Memorabilia"

not a new pickup...and I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere!!!! But after being told by numerous advanced collectors, this was fake... VINDICATION!!!!! I had another I sold at the natty and I ran into a guy who saw this one in my showcase and said he had one and that SGC graded it...I was shocked!!!!!! A cool, unusual HI variation.

Exclamation

The DC comics hitting newsstands in April 1960 (generally cover dated June 1960) had this ad on their back covers:

Default The Mick

My latest pick up

1962 Post Tens Varity Tray three card panel from under the tray holding 10 of the small individual serving cereal boxes. See a similar entire package from 1961 that sold recently at REA

https://collectrea.com/archives/2025...-mickey-mantle

I also recently got access to a group of about 60 different Post Cereal boxes and flats with both baseball and football cards that I will be posting here and elsewhere soon.

Nice card. I've heard some disdain before for the portrait shots, and particularly the 1962 and '63 Topps. For me, it comes down to whether or not I like the sets, because for a lot of them, those portrait shots were just de riguer...and I like both '62 and '63. To me the Mantles from both of those sets have always stood out as classics, probably just because I saw them pictured so often in magazines, Beckett, etc. as a kid. In fact, the Burt Randolph Sugar / Dover Reprint books you could get in the 80's - I think I got my first at an elementary school book fair - had a reprint of the '63 Mantle in it. Because it was probably the first real vintage Mantle card I laid eyes on - I immediately wanted it.

Nice pickups guys! Mike, I see you got your Hospital PC - Congrats!

I picked up a couple of cheap Holiday Inn coasters and never knew there were variants other than batting left and right and brown/green. Curious if anyone knows of others. The material makeup is even different.
