Do NOT try to saw them open with a sharp knife. Tap them gently, over and over, around and around, with a hammer. Eventually they will open. The problem with the knife is that the inner case nestles inside the outer case, so the knife has to go around a corner...it doesn't like that (wait till my husband sees the broken-off end of one of his steak knives...) |
