As a sometimes seller, I have always accepted credit card payments through PayPal and eaten the charges because, like Lee, I believe that the increase in number of bids compensates for the fees you pay. That may be naive but I don't think so. A lot of bidders don't have the available funds to pay for a card but can put the total on their credit card and pay it off. One thing I try to do as a buyer (can't always do it, but try) is to pay for cards I buy on eBay from people I know with funds from my bank account so as to keep them from having to pay the fees. |
