I was never a huge Bobby Murcer fan (he just wasn't The Mick), so when the Yankees sent him packing for Bobby Bonds for the 1975 season I thought the Yankees had gotten themselves a steal (pun intended). |

Bonds played well for the Yanks -- going 30-30 despite losing a bunch of games to injury -- but he was traded for Mickey Rivers and Ed Figueroa. |

Those two guys both played important roles in helping the Yankees win pennants the next two years and Rivers was as entertaining in his own way as Bonds was. |
