Default Stolen Card

Posted By: Adam J. Baxter

I can't offer too in depth an opinion on this, as I don't know all the details. If the card disappeared "in transit" while it was being handled by the USPS then I would advise that customer to talk with their local post office and to file a complaint with the US Postal Inspection service to report tampering and theft. Most complaints to the Inspection Service can even be filed online. If they can backtrack the route the package took and all the Postal facilities it went through, they could possibly find the individual that tampered with the package or the facility that the theft occured in. If it was a Postal employee and they did it in a Postal Distribution facility, there is a fairly good chance it may have been picked up on camera as most distribution facilities that handle parcels have cameras EVERYWHERE. That would be unfortunate for the thief as the USPS loves to prosecute. That's a real shame, I hope the card is eventually found.

Regards,
Adam
