I try and avoid wire photos as well. They were typically wired to many different locations, making many many copies. There really isn't such a thing as a wire photo original. I prefer original news photos. Which "usually" are one of a kind. Sometimes they made a second copy. Forsomeone like Ruth, they have made a few more. I just recently picked up a Burke Jimmie Foxx. Very nice. And affordable. Got it from a forum contributor.
