I recently purchased a S110 pillowcase & was hoping that someone could tell me the best way to preserve/display it? Any thoughts appreciated. Jeremy |

Which one is it? I would have it professionally framed. |

They are beautiful and should be framed. Have a professional do it since fabric demands a special technique. |

All the advice says to have it professionally done. I was hoping for a less expensive way to do it. I guess they don't make 24X24 mylar sheets |

That's a pretty high dollar item....I would think you would want to make sure it is properly framed and displayed. |

a 2000.00+ item depending on condition. I'd say the one with 5 HOF's about 1 in 5 rarer in marketplace - that of course doesn't take into account a few factors - among which might be that the one with Johnson might be more popular and therefore less frequently traded. I'd say about 30-50 % premium on that one. The care of 100 year old satin and all fabrics for that matter are best preserved by a professional. If the lack of aesthetics or cost are factors I think there would be nothing wrong with the mylar/lucite type thing. They do make large top-loaders that exceed those dimensions and sometimes in fabric or craft stores you can get a pair of sheets and a binder in that size or larger. I don't think that in the SHORT-MEDIUM term you will hurt the piece as long as you keep it out of direct or florescent light. Just MO - no guarantees written or implied |

After seeing Joe's framed piece, I've made up my mind. |
