At first glance it is a pretty cool Yankees scorecard from a game October 1, 1933. |

Wow, nice piece Joe. Did you find this on ebay and then find out later that you had a very special scorecard? |

Joe- that's a very valuable scorecard. Finding significance in an otherwise mundane game is what most scorecard collectors look for. |

I have a bunch of scorecards, but I don't have any scanned in yet. My favorite is my Boston Red Sox v Washington Senators from June 23, 1945....it was only by chance that I got this scorecard as I had no idea when I won it on ebay many years ago that it was for a game that was played on the day my father was born. My father was born on an Army base in Nebraska but he spent his first few years in Boston. I still have a lot of family there, but I don't know any of them. I don't think my Grandma liked Boston and she wanted to move back to Nebraska where she was raised. |

My friend has a large collection of Babe Ruth negatives and he let me scan all of them a few years ago. One of the negatives was from the last game he pitched against the Red Sox. |

I have to admit... if this memorabilia section was not created - I probably would have never stumbled upon the information. |

I am glad we helped a little. My main reluctance for starting this side was the amount of time I already put into it (the other side). Hopefully it will remain very civil over here as the baseball side has been lately. ...take care |

I know the other memorabilia board has been around for about 2 years now and I can't recall one argument or off topic post ever. |

nice piece would be great if the item was scored, I have fun collecting Red Sox and Yankees score cards. Sometimes the score cards will have inserts; I have one from 1942 from Yankee Stadium that has a bomb evacuation plan inserted in the middle. This is not a valuable item, just a great piece of history. |

Scorecards from 1942-45 are scarcer because of the paper shortage caused by the war so they usually have a slight premium...I've never seen one with a bomb evacuation plan - I'd like to see that. |

Jimmy, thanks a lot for showing that. I wonder if there are any seats out there in collections that have those arrows on them or signs saying to "Sit tight"? |

There must be some seats; they most likely would not have been bothered to take most of them off after the war. At this point they would be faded and hard to see anyways. Interesting definition to the word, I would guess the word is not used at all anymore? |
