I've had two of these and seen close to a dozen others and the name is always on the other side of the earlier versions. The one thing you have to watch is the model number as the bat could have had one of the knobs cut off. From what I've seen though the model five was a single knob configuration. So, everything appears ok with this bat. The bat the kid is holding in the picture looks like a ring bat though and not this bat. As for the price these are rare bats, that had the first player endorsement, and were produced around 1903-1905. When will you see another? |
