This is one of the best threads I've seen on the board in a while, with all points of view (including the emotional uninformed) represented just fine.

I don't collect this type of item but I find the mentality of those who do very interesting - they "want to believe" so badly that they set themselves up for these situations. This comment by Marshall Fogel says it all: "There's no question it's debatable. It just depends on what side you want to fall on it. Louisville Slugger made the choice to believe the bat is real,"
