I won one W551 Babe Ruth card (described by Verkman as VG)and one 1928 F50 Tharps Babe Ruth card (described as VG). The W551 card had writing on the back. The Tharps card was trimmed.

Steve was able to justify both cards. According to Steve, writing on the back card is normal and does not downgrade the card. Also according to Steve, trimmed cards can be described as VG. I disagreed with both explanations and returned the trimmed Tharps card.

I have never purchased from him again.
