Actually, what makes the T206 set so popular among other things is the scope of its beautiful artwork. The N162 set is objectively nicer, but there are 8 cards. The T206 set has 523 of which the vast majority are just so well rendered. What about the Johnson portrait? One of the most beautiful baseball cards ever made. I would guess that if there was a contest to nominate the most popular set in the history of baseball card production, T206 would get the blue ribbon. |
