| What got you into vintage cards?

Posted By: Glenn I read an article a few years ago about Hall of Famers who don't really belong in Cooperstown, and one of the players mentioned was somebody I'd never heard of before -- Rabbit Maranville. So I looked him up on ebay and found out, to my surprise, that one could buy a 1933 Goudey Hall of Famer for under $100. I was surprised, I think, because I had just plunked down about $100 for a '97 Bowman Chrome Kerry Wood on the chance that he might someday join the Hall. So I guess I have Rabbit Maranville to thank, and the Baseball Writers. |
