Question from a Grading Novice

If you're going to sell a card that is that expensive, the grading will more than pay for itself, especially if you are planning on selling it on EBay or in one of the major auctions. If you'd rather sell it raw, why not try selling it in the B/S/T with a guarantee that it will grade?
