I've got a buddy with a nice collection of T205s. He's thought of selling them, but doesn't know a lot about prewar cards. I'd like to know what they would sell for in your opinions. Just looking for a range here, so discussing whether it would sell more on Ebay, Mastro, etc, really doesn't matter at this point, so if you think $5,000 - $6,000 (or whatever you think) please chime in. I'm really trying to help him out here. At this time is not sure what he wants to do with the cards, but he may just continue to try to finish it or sell as a whole. |

replace the P/F/G cards with VG cards to make the set more consistent in appearance and easier to sell. He might not want to expend the extra money and time to do it but that's my suggestion. |

...he's a lower budget kind of guy, but went out on a limb on this one. Not sure if he'd take on that project or not. I will tell you that his grading is very collector sensitive meaning he's old school in his grading. To him VG is 3 creases, some corner wear, and hopefully no writing! |

I don't know anybody who would pay $9,500 for a T205 Cobb in fair condition. Just wondering where he where he got the values for his cards. And it sounds like a new over inflated EBay seller come up soon. Where they use words like RARE, under graded, etc... |

he's not a seller. He would probably sell it through a major auction house if he even decided to sell. He'll probably keep the set anyway now. He's now looking at whether he spent his money wisely, or whether he broke even per say. |

When I break even, I feel that I have spent my money wisely. |
