eBay counters act funny sometimes, such as suddenly resetting to a lower number. Whether for an eBay auction or a website, the counter is a conservative count of visitors. For one's home page there are numerous circumstances were a counter doesn't count a legitimate visitor. This commonly has to do with a page's/counter's load time. |
