I am sure that a big part of the lure of this set is that it is the transitional set from 19c cards to the tobacco/caramel era cards. It also doesn't hurt that most of the portraits are well done and even reused in the m116 and other sets. This is also the reason I put a cutoff date of 1908 for my player set as there 54 players that appear in this set and no other. It would be impossible for me to get them all. |
