Hoy was better than Lloyd Waner but he would still be one of the "worst" HOFers. With those stats today he'd be regarded as a clone of Brett Butler. A fine player but not a HOFer. For Hoy to get into the Hall he would have to be given extra credit for having been deaf. Roy Thomas was a similar but better player than Hoy but he had no disability so he is barely remembered today. |
