I have been told by SGC that strip cards need to be full size, with some of the dotted cut line showing (that is if there was a dotted cut line on that particular issue). I sent in two W551's that were full size, but they would not grade them, due to the dotted cut line was not visable. However, I see SGC graded strip cards all the time that are obviously cut too small that are graded, so it was somewhat frustrating. Heck, a fellow board member recently posted a pic of an Orange Border Mathewson with the border cut off that was an SGC 10. SGC does a fine job with vintage cards, but their inconsistent grading of strip cards needs to be fixed, IMHO. |
