With the proviso that I think this rookie stuff is BS if a guy has a bunch of earlier minor league cards, the C46 Gandil does not fit the rookie definition as popularly understood for at least three reasons: (1) It is not part of a nationally issued set, or even a regionally issued set since it was issued internationally, (2) It is not a major league cards, and (3) It is later than his PCL issue.
