Interesting - there is also a dark stripe running up along the left side in the border, and another along the bottom border. Maybe someone had it in some kind of holder - or maybe had pressed or crimped edges down somehow.

I don't see how that exactly relates to the light spot on the right border, but if someone had it clamped down or in some kind of scrapbook or picture frame it could have caused the color discontinuity on the right border as well.
