I remember a guy selling these same cards at the Chantilly, VA show a couple of years back. He didn't have much prewar stuff so it was kind of surprising that he had them. He had the Young, Wagner and a common that he said he sold just before I talked to him (can't remember who it was though). He had no idea what they were and I had never seen them either. I thought they were kind of ugly (still do), but hell if Leon was going to snipe that much I regret not picking them up. I think at that time he was selling them for $900 and $700 for the Wagner and Young respectively. I examined them closely and they were nearly identical to the 555's, but with the different border. |
