In fact it is Mr. T ( aka Lawrence Tureaud) and as I understand he was the sucessful bidder for the T206 Eddie Plank in the April 2006 REA auction. However I think he is sensitive about being outted like this so be careful --he can get quite upset.

Without going back through the emails I do believe one person guessed Payne. I believe this stuff is on a website through OBC, or somewhere else...best regards (a google search will turn up quite a bit about Payne)

.......from memory.... Robert (Edward) Payne was an associate editor of the ACC. His main thrust was in the way of post cards and he published a book or two concerning them, if I recall correctly. I don't think he had a lot to do with baseball cards at all....
