True, Matt. In this instance, however, I took into account the fact that, judging by his feedback descriptions, everything this seller has sold up until now is modern. He only has two T206's (and a couple boxing cards) currently up for auction. And that's out of 242 auctions. If he'd sold several tobacco cards in the past on Ebay, then I'd be suspicious. How he reacts to Ray's e-mail will be telling. If he threatens to hunt him down and "beat him like a woman" like that wackjob did to Dan a couple of weeks ago when he e-mailed him about the fake DiMaggio card, that should give us pause. My assumption, until we have proof to the contrary is that this seller simply didn't know any better. |
