biggest collectors in usa or northeast ????

If it is for a psych class, the psychology of collecting has little to nothing to do with money or the dollar value of the collection. Probably anybody on this board would be a good subject since they all have a certain degree of obsession with baseball cards. Some can just afford more expensive cards.
