Tampa came so close to stealing the Giants back in 1992. I still remember that weaselly Tampa city manager appearing at press conference after press conference after Bob Lurie had agreed to sell to Vince Naimoli, essentially taunting the fans in San Francisco. The notion that Tampa Bay could win a World Series after only 12-13 years in the league must not stand. That was a fun game to watch last night.
